The Texas deadline engine

Every Texas clock computed by a pure, unit-tested function — the trigger day excluded, the last day included, weekends rolled, holidays flagged (never silently assumed), and the citation attached. A language model never touches a date. Each parameter below is pinned to the verbatim corpus by a release gate.

The maiden catch

Rule 166a's summary-judgment clock was rewritten effective July 1, 2026. The corroboration gate refused the old parameters because the loaded law no longer said them — and the corpus supplied the amended, filing-relative clock. That is verbatim-or-absent working: the law on the page beats anyone's memory of it.
