Nevada local rules — THE DCR-5 DOOR

DCR 5: approved local rules apply whether they are the same as or inconsistent with the statewide District Court Rules — in Nevada the LOCAL book WINS (the inverse of Washington's GR 7(d) clerk-set doctrine). Districts with no LCB-published book (the 5th and 6th) are honest absences: practice there runs on the statewide DCR + NRCP; verify chamber requirements with the court, never infer.

The justice-court books + THE BEOWAWE RESOLUTION

THE BEOWAWE RESOLUTION: the judiciary's overview says 40 justice courts while its directory lists 41 entries — entry 'Beowawe' is a DEPARTMENT of Eureka Township Justice Court, not a separate court; 40 courts + 1 department entry reconciles both numbers (verified against the directory 2026-07-17).

The directory's 41 entries include the department row; the flagship discovery machinery lives in the Eighth's book — EDCR 2.34, verbatim →

The municipal tier + the federal rim

Municipal courts hear ordinance violations and civil traffic infractions within city limits — no ordinary civil suits. Registry-only in v1; the NRCTI rules (NV-CTI) govern their civil-infraction dockets. The federal rim: the FED-LR-NVD book is loaded whole (read it →); FED-CA9 (loaded under Arizona — the shared book is never double-claimed).
