Nev. D.C.R. 12 (Form of Papers Presented for Filing) — what the rule itself requires
- “shall be flat, unfolded, firmly bound together at the top, on white paper of standard quality, not less than 16-lb. weight and 8 1/2 by 11 inches in size” — White standard-quality paper, at least 16-lb weight, letter size, bound at the top.
- “Type may not be smaller than pica size” — Type no smaller than pica — the rule's own floor, honored by the edition's 12-point type.
- “Only one side of the paper may be used” — Single-sided.
- “The lines on each page shall be double-spaced, except that descriptions of real property may be single-spaced” — Double-spaced lines (real-property descriptions may single-space).
- “Pages shall be numbered consecutively at the bottom” — Consecutive page numbers, at the bottom.
- “The case number on line 1 at the left side of the page” — The prescribed first page begins with the case number on line 1, left.

DCR 12 is a real prescription, and the Nevada edition enforces it mechanically: double-spaced text, bottom page numbers, white single-sided pages, and 12-point type honoring the pica floor. The first-page layout (case number line 1, department line 2, clerk-stamp space, title on lines 6-7) is rendered as the rule describes it; local rules can add more, and DCR 12 itself lets the court accept noncomplying papers only for good cause.
The pleading anatomy, from the rules: The caption carries the court's name, THE COUNTY, a title, the case number, and the designation. THE FIFTY-ONE-PERCENT RULE: modified comparative fault — a bar only when the claimant's share is GREATER; otherwise a proportionate reduction. The fleet's third calibration flavor.
